The original teaser trailer that accompanied the Yomawari 3 announcement didn’t show much gameplay, but we got a look at plenty more in an extended trailer from Nippon Ichi Software. The new trailer showcases over a minute of gameplay from the upcoming survivor horror title.
The gameplay of Yomawari 3 is a lot like in the original game, where you play as another girl who wanders around a creepy town at night. The story starts with the protagonist waking up in the middle of an unfamiliar forest. However, she has no recollection of how she got there. The last thing she remembered was being on the school rooftop around sunset. As she wanders the forest, she encounters a mysterious figure that tells her that she’s been inflicted with a powerful curse and will need to “remember something important” that was forgotten in order to lift it.
The extended trailer showcases more of the exploration action we’ve seen in the first two Yomawari games with a look at some of the new horrors that await. Learn more about what’s new in our previous report.

Yomawari 3 will be available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan on April 21, 2022. We’ve yet to hear a localization announcement for the West. NIS America published the previous games in North America and Europe.
