Nintendo teases us with ten seconds of Yarna Desert footage from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

Link's Awakening

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is almost here, and Nintendo is ramping up its drip-feed of news and content as we approach release. Today, they gave us a very, very small bit of new footage to check out, but I am so hyped at this point that ten seconds of gameplay still did the trick. The video, which you can check out below, was posted to the official The Legend of Zelda Facebook page. It is, of course, not long, but look on the bright side: when you’re done watching it, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be ten seconds closer.

Yeah, that is the Yarna Desert alright. There really is not much to see here, other than the fact that the Link’s Awakening appears to be progressing beautifully. The art style is absolutely lovely, and every new screenshot and video looks absolutely fantastic. Luckily, the video does show off one cool thing other than how great the game looks: you should notice Pokeys, who are making their long-awaited return to The Legend of Zelda after a long time antagonizing Mario with their annoying spikey heads.

It has been one tease after another with Nintendo and this game. They also recently opened up a fairly barren teaser website for the title, but that will hopefully be more populated as the release date gets closer and closer.

Ten seconds at a time, Nintendo is drawing me in. I’m totally on board for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and so ready for September 20. What about you? Are you looking forward to the game, or are you waiting on Nintendo to drop another fifteen seconds of footage before you make up your mind? Will you be pairing it alongside a new Switch Lite on release day? Sound off in the comments.
