World Overload Glitch lets you totally break reality in Breath of the Wild

World Overload Glitch The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the greatest technical accomplishments in game history. And fans sure do love finding ways to break it or do other goofy stuff with it. The most interesting new glitch uncovered for the game is the World Overload Glitch, triggered by running away from the final battle and following a specific series of steps. Once the glitch is in action, all sorts of crazy things start to happen.

Link becomes disembodied in the menu. Whole towers just disappear, but you can still land on them. Sometimes weapons will go through trees; sometimes Link climbs invisible trees. Link can march right into Gerudo Town regardless of what he’s wearing. But my favorite thing about this glitch is Link can drop off the edge of the earth and just walk around at the bottom. It’s seemingly an empty wasteland, but hey — still cool. And there are tons more crazy things to be discovered where that came from.

Watch the video below yourself to get a taste of all the reality-breaking you can do with the World Overload Glitch.
