What did you play this weekend?

World of Goo

Another weekend has passed us by, and for many of us, that means we finally sunk our teeth into a game or two. What did that entail for you? Whether you were knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you got through this weekend.

I spent most of my time with World of Goo. After nearly a decade of casual interest in the game, I finally secured a physical copy through Super Rare Games. After such a long wait, World of Goo does not disappoint in the slightest. It’s a physics-based puzzler where you direct hordes of tiny, vulnerable goo balls through dangerous terrain by building precarious structures out of said goo balls. It’s absolutely worth checking out today.

In an exciting turn of events, I also popped in Super Mario 3D Land and FINALLY found the final missing Star Coin. As such, I unlocked the secret final level. I tried that a couple of times, but haven’t managed to finish just yet. I’ll keep visiting it over the next couple of days and hopefully wrap it up.

What did you work on this weekend? Did you play a brand new game, or were you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Share what you had going on in the comments.
