After a recent leak suggesting that Nintendo has plans to bring over two more Wii U games to Switch in 2020, speculation and wishes are a-flyin’. Plenty of the Wii U’s greatest hits are available on Switch, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and more. If you could add two more Wii U greats to that stack, what would you choose?
I would go for Super Mario 3D World and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Super Mario 3D World is one of my favorite co-op games, and after my undergraduate roommate taking his Wii U home sidelined my girlfriend and I’s initial attempt at a 100% run a couple of years back, we have been waiting patiently for a Switch port so that we can give it another shot. I have not played Xenoblade Chronicles X, meanwhile, and a lot of that is because I never have time for long games at home anymore. The only RPGs I beat nowadays are on the go, games that I can slowly chip away at bit by bit on Vita or Switch. I’d be happy to give Xenoblade Chronicles X an honest try on Switch. Plus, it would be great to have it join Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the hybrid system.
What two Wii U titles are you still wanting to see on Switch? Are you holding out hope for something I mentioned, Pikmin 3, Yoshi’s Wooly World, or something else entirely? Let us know in the comments!
