In typical Nintendo fashion, it has waited till the black of night (or, to be fair, morning in Japan) to announce the Nintendo Switch eShop now has a free demo to download for WarioWare: Get It Together!. The game was first announced during the 2021 E3 Nintendo Direct and will launch on September 10 for $49.99, and it marks the first new entry in the series since WarioWare Gold on Nintendo 3DS in 2018. This demo for WarioWare: Get It Together! includes a vague “selection of microgames,” and you’ll have to download the demo for yourself to find out what that entails.
WAH! A free demo for #WarioWareGetItTogether is now available on the #NintendoSwitch #eShop! Download now and try out a selection of microgames before the game’s release on 9/10!https://t.co/I7Edx50qJd pic.twitter.com/g7aKOai1Fr

If you can’t download the Switch eShop demo right this second, Japan has also received a new trailer for WarioWare: Get It Together!, complete with colorful voice acting. It illustrates the major difference between this game and previous entries in the franchise: selectable characters. You actually control characters with unique maneuverability and talents in order to complete all of the microgames, and two players can play co-op in Story mode or four players can play other multiplayer modes. It remains to be seen if this new gimmick is a bundle of laughs or just a contrivance, but the WarioWare franchise has more hits than misses. There’s plenty of reason to be optimistic.
