Under the sea: A glitch in Breath of the Wild offers a look at life underwater

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is known for its abundance of tricks and glitches. Crafty players have been having a fun time finding new ways to break the game while awaiting its sequel. That tradition continues, as gamers have found a way to explore BotW‘s underwater sections.

Underwater Link? Just like old times!

BotW‘s version of Link has enough trouble swimming due to the stamina wheel, so it comes as no surprise that he can’t dive underwater. With a little ingenuity, though, wading into the water while using your scope gives players a look at BotW‘s gorgeous oceanography.

Take a look at the trick in action, courtesy of a user on Twitter:

Such a lush world that is ripe for exploring! Look at all of the colorful fish and coral.

It’s a shame gamers never got a chance to visit this underwater utopia in Breath of the Wild. Older titles in the Zelda series had items that allowed Link to breathe while submerged. However, we never got a title with such attention to detail like the latest Zelda. Perhaps Breath of the Wild 2 will allow players to explore the sea to their heart’s content. Unless Link and Zelda are just stranded in the sky for the entirety of the game’s length.

Enthusiasts, how do you feel about this latest BotW glitch? Are you hoping Link explores the murky depths in his next outing? Let us know in the comment section down below.
