gods and monsters

Earlier today, Ubisoft introduced a breathtaking new game during their E3 2019 conference titled Gods & Monsters. The teaser trailer below highlights the Greek pantheon after falling prey to the fearsome monster Typhon. A young hero named Phoenix then takes up the mantle to save the Gods, gain fantastic abilities, and defeat Typhon. For more details, check out the trailer’s description:

From the creators of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey comes a storybook adventure about a forgotten hero on a quest to save the Greek gods. Prove your heroism by fighting dangerous mythological creatures and taking on their fearsome leader in a face-off for the ages. Explore a beautiful fantasy world where tricky trials, treacherous dungeons, and heroic feats await. The journey will be as challenging and rewarding as the final destination, and you will emerge as the hero you are meant to become.

At this time, little else is known about Gods & Monsters beyond its teaser. However, Ubisoft has already slated the game for a February 25, 2020, release on a variety of platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are already open!

What did you think of this brand new Ubisoft IP? Will you be checking it out next year? Let us know in the comments!
