Advanced Wars fans may not have gotten any new games in the iconic Nintendo-produced strategy game series since the Nintendo DS days, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been able to get their fill elsewhere. Two iconic strategy games have hit the Nintendo Switch in recent years that draw heavy inspiration from that series, with one being western indie darling Wargroove and the other being Japanese Kickstarter success story Tiny Metal. The latter went on to get a recent sequel titled Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble, and now that sequel is collaborating with Wargroove in the form of an adorable new crossover DLC.
A free DLC map will be available next week for Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble that lets you control a very special commander in battle – Caesar the adorable warrior dog from Wargroove. The free collaborative DLC map will also have unique pixel art units, as well as special new gameplay rules.
On top of the free collaboration DLC, a paid DLC add-on called Will of the Shogun is set to launch the same day. This DLC will include Act 8 of the story and new High Difficulty Maps, clocking in at a massive total of 39 new stages. It isn’t clear if this paid DLC contains any Wargroove crossover elements.
Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC.
