This Third-Party Switch Dock Comes with a Built-In Ethernet Port

One category of  Nintendo Switch accessory that continously seems to have new releases is that of Docks. Many third-parties have thrown their hat into the ring with custom docks for the hybrid system, offering solutions to the shortcomings of the official Nintendo-made Dock that comes bundled with every Switch system.

This new Switch Dock from Japanese tech company Cyber Gadget comes with a built-in Ethernet (LAN) port. This will allow users to connect their Switch to the Internet with a wired connection, which in most cases is more stable than a wireless (WiFi) connection. This is most beneficial for folks who like to play online with others.  The official Switch Dock requires a USB Ethernet Adapter to allow for this functionality.

Another benefit that this dock has over the official one is that it allows you to play the Switch in tabletop mode while the system is charging since it doesn’t have a face cover.

Cyber Gadget’s dock will be releasing in Japan sometime in December. You can check out the product listing over on Play Asia.
