There’s an Accessory for the SNES Coming Out in 2017 (Hyperkin Mouse)

The retro gaming scene is quite big these days. All one has to do is look at the subscriber counts of the some of the bigger retro gaming channels on YouTube for evidence of this. Or, just look at how people freaked out over the NES Classic a few months ago. Indeed, retro gaming is a very lucrative market.

Hyperkin, a video game accessory manufacturer, is aware of all the fuss surrounding the retro scene. So, naturally, it wants to cash in on that market. How so? Well, it’s not unusual for companies to release retro-themed products for modern-day systems, but Hyperkin had another idea in mind. Next month (July), there will be a new accessory coming out for the SNES. No, this is not a joke.

All you have to do is check this Amazon listing for proof—the Hyperkin Hyper Click Retro Style Mouse. Modelled after the official SNES mouse, the Hyper Click is compatible with the SNES system and can be used with any of the SNES Mouse-enabled titles. It sports a 6ft. cable and is going to cost $20. The Hyper Click will release on July 6th. So, if you happen to have an SNES system laying around, then you can buy a shiny new mouse for it in a few weeks.

Do we have any collectors who will be picking this up? Sound off below.
