After months of rumors, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition was finally confirmed for the Nintendo Switch last E3. From there, CD Projekt Red confirmed about anything shy of a release date! The Witcher 3 would feature the entire game on a single 32GB cartridge, all while running at 720p in Docked and 540p in handheld. Visual fidelity aside, this is shaping up to be an impressive technological feat, making the wait that much more frustrating! Now, an end is finally in sight, as CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3 will launch on Nintendo Switch on October 15.

The announcement came by way of Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, where attendees can have their first crack at the game. To note, The Witcher 3 on Switch will include the base game, the Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine expansions, and 16 additional pieces of DLC that followed the game’s initial release. Add all that with the ability to play The Witcher 3 on the go, and you already have a contender for one of this year’s biggest must-haves for the system.

Granted, the presentation will remind me heavily of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, performance-wise, but I’m still eager to pick it up! Is The Witcher 3 for the Switch on your radar this October? Let us know in the comments.
