The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is a Genshin-like open-world action game by Netmarble

The Seven Deadly Sins Origin open-world action game announced by Netmarble

Netmarble has announced a new video game for The Seven Deadly Sins manga and anime series, titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, and it will be an open-world action game.

The new game is a follow-up to Netmarble’s mobile game, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand CrossHowever, instead of a turn-based RPG, it will be an open-world action game set across a vast land. In addition to a multiverse original story and an open-world setting that offers plenty of freedom, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will introduce a new protagonist. We’ll also get to meet various characters from The Seven Deadly Sins and its sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

We didn’t get any gameplay details from Netmarble, but the announcement trailer gives us a look at what to expect. If you’ve ever watched Genshin Impact gameplay, it looks remarkably similar in terms of the action and overall setting.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is in development for console, PC, and smartphone. Netmarble has not announced a specific release date or even a release window, so it might take a little longer. Netmarble hasn’t announced any specific consoles for the game, but that means there’s a chance that Nintendo Switch will get Genshin Impact in the form of a Seven Deadly Sins game before getting the actual Genshin Impact.
