Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division’s The Outer Worlds launched in somewhat rough technical shape on Nintendo Switch back in June 2020, but we still loved it and the game has received improvement patches since. The game originally released in 2019, and it received a DLC expansion, Peril on Gorgon, on other platforms in September 2020. Now, The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon at last has a Switch release date of Feb. 10, just a week away. Additionally, patch 1.3 for the game on Switch will arrive today, which adjusts “level GC strategy” and “texture streaming strategy.”
The Board is pleased to announce that new tasks for our Nintendo Switch employees will be opening on the Gorgon Asteroid starting Feb 10th.
Please remember that this is a dangerous job site filled with marauders and monsters. Best to start stocking up on your Adrena-Time! ?? pic.twitter.com/uZgeOvGZbQ

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon will bring new locations, science weapons, and character customization when it releases on Switch next week. You will be exploring the “abandoned Spacer’s Choice facility” and investigating why the Gorgon Project was canceled. To combat the mutated enemies you’ll be facing, you will have the P.E.T. (Pest Extermination Tool), a melee weapon that apparently brings the enemies to you, plus two more new weapons.
Since this is an expansion for an RPG, Peril on Gorgon will grant a higher level cap, more perks and flaws, and more armor. Also, for the lore junkies, you can “dig into the story of the Gorgon Asteroid with new Portable Phonograph audio logs that reveal the salacious secrets of a scientific experiment gone wrong.” Neat!
Will you be heading back into the intergalactic wilderness with The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon on Switch when it releases Feb. 10?
