What did ya play this weekend, enthusiasts?

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake 3 million 11 days

Another weekend is behind us, and if you were lucky, you found the time to sink your teeth into a game or two. What did that entail for you? Whether you were knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you got done this weekend.

During the week, I finished The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Switch. It’s a beautiful game with some interesting puzzles. I absolutely loved it, even if the handheld framerate chugs along unbelievably slow at times. It’s one of the better The Legend of Zelda games that I’ve played.

Now, I am primarily working on Gravity Rush 2. It’s a fun game that I took too long to get around to, but it’s frustratingly long. Nearly every mission is bloated with unnecessary, bland segments. Despite the fantastic setting, soundtrack, and gravity-shifting gameplay, the game is impressive at holding itself back.

Additionally, I am chipping away at missions in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. The Wii U classic is perfect on Switch. It’s just the sort of game that you can play in short bursts throughout the day thanks to short missions and in-game days. I can see myself having fun with Pikmin 3 Deluxe for a long time to come.

What did you work on this weekend? Are you playing a brand new game like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, are you still hopelessly glued to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Share what you have going on in the comments.c
