Banjo-Kazooie has officially arrived on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, and Nintendo has simultaneously announced that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will join the service next in February. It follows the weird and disappointing new pattern of Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack receiving a mere one new Nintendo game per month. It was Banjo for January and Paper Mario for December. The mild silver lining is that the service received five Sega Genesis games out of nowhere back in December.
Still, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a black horse favorite in the franchise, with some people absolutely swearing by its clever time-loop gameplay and dark narrative. Others (e.g., me and people like me) just hate that the game puts you on a time limit, even if there are ways to make the time limit less severe. In any case, here’s Nintendo’s colorful description of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for when it arrives on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack sometime next month:
An ominous fate also awaits you next month – unless you can avert it, that is – when the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask game makes its time-twisting debut on Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online library in February. In this Nintendo 64 classic, Link has just three days to save the world before the moon itself comes crashing down, destroying Termina and everyone inhabiting it.
Save Termina before it’s met with a terrible fate!
