The Legend of Zelda art exhibition set for September in Kyoto Akira Himekawa

Manga artist duo Akira Himekawa is hosting a special art exhibition next month in Kyoto that will focus on art for The Legend of Zelda. The exhibit will be held at the Kyoto International Manga Museum from September 18 to December 26, 2021.

Akira Himekawa is the pen name of two female artists who’ve worked together as a duo since 1991. The duo has been working on manga adaptations for The Legend of Zelda series since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in 1998. Some of their popular works include The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and, more recently, a Twilight Princess manga serialized on the Shogakukan manga app MangaONE. In short, they’ve been working on Zelda mangas for over 20 years now and are looking to share more love for the series with the art exhibit, which will feature new and exclusive work from the duo.
