International ratings boards are one of the most reliable sources of leaks, making them the scourge of publisher PR departments everywhere. On that note: Via Gematsu, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has rated Capcom’s The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, in addition to rating Tales from the Borderlands, SnowRunner, and Secret Neighbor for Switch.
Gearbox recently announced that Telltale Games’ Tales from the Borderlands would be returning to “storefronts” on Feb. 17, so the reveal of a Switch version is not shocking but still welcome. Meanwhile, SnowRunner is an off-roading driving sim released for non-Switch platforms to a positive critical reception in 2020, and Secret Neighbor is a 2019 spinoff of tinyBuild’s Hello Neighbor series that offers a multiplayer kid-friendly horror experience.
However, for our purposes, the main event is of course The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles coming to Nintendo Switch. This agrees with information leaked from the unfortunate Capcom hack, which indicated Dai Gyakuten Saiban and Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 (The Great Ace Attorney and its sequel) could potentially be localized for the West. The two games originally released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan and took place around the end of the 19th century. The odds are looking increasingly promising that Western players will be able to play The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles on Switch later this year.
