The Binding of Isaac: Repentance DLC is almost complete, and it’s huge

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance DLC almost finished 90% done Edmund McMillen sequel size

Late yesterday Edmund McMillen, one of the creators of The Binding of Isaac and all subsequent expansions, revealed that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is almost complete, “currently over 90% done.” This is the final DLC for the game, which was announced in September 2018. In an accompanying blog post, McMillen revealed that the Steam page for the expansion is now live, and the expansion is pretty hefty. In fact, he said, it’s “basically a sequel at this point.” The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is larger than Rebirth was compared to the original Flash game, if you can remember what that transition was like.

McMillen goes on to say that he’s been working closely with the team of developers on this DLC. They all want it to be the “sequel DLC” that fans have been asking for, and he feels like that’s exactly what it is.

When it comes to the news we care about, the console version, McMillen said he straight up does not know yet about that release. However, follow-up blog posts on the DLC will hopefully illuminate the situation. From mid-October, McMillen expects the Steam blog will be updated regularly. This should mean that we have a slew of information right up until the DLC launches.
