Tetris Effect: Connected drops onto Nintendo Switch in October

Tetris Effect Nintendo Switch

In today’s Indie World Showcase, Tetris Effect: Connected was announced for Nintendo Switch. Tetris Effect is considered to be one of the best versions of the classic puzzler, offering a variety of striking visual-styles and multitude of gameplay modes. Tetris Effect for Nintendo Switch will include everything that was available on other platforms, including the extensive “Journey Mode” where you’ll see a range of beautiful art-styles, and the extra “Effect” modes that provide more challenges.

Tetris Effect: Connected also allows you to play solo, or with friends in online or local multiplayer. I can see myself playing this game with a bunch of friends, using the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons horizontally. Furthermore, the multiplayer will also support cross-platform play, allowing you to aptly “connect” with PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players. This version of Tetris Effect also features the “Connected” update, allowing you to participate in an all-new co-operative mode where you clear zones together. Connected was previously exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, but the Nintendo Switch version will have this feature available at launch. PlayStation users will also be able to experience Connected next week on August 18, 2021.

Tetris Effect: Connected launches for Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021, the same day as Metroid: Dread and the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). This will be a fantastic game to test out on the new hardware, as Tetris Effect features some of the most beautiful iterations of Tetris ever made!
