Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Remaster Announced For Switch

Looks like Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 wasn’t the only remaster on the Vs. fighting series from Capcom. Announced this morning by the magazine Famitsu, the Wii title Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is getting a remaster on the Nintendo Switch as Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: All-Stars Heroes Re:United.

With the exception of Hakushon Daima?, which was only included to the original Wii title, the remaster will feature all the 26 characters plus six new ones for the rooster, being announced later this year. The new content confirmed so far is a new story mode and the possibility to use each Joy-Con as a controller.

The producer of the remaster, Ryota Niitsuma, commented:

I was really excited when [Tatsunoko Production] came to us asking to develop a new version for their 55th anniversary. We found the Nintendo Switch perfect considering the game’s accessible controls and the console’s feature to use each Joy-Con separately.

One of the biggest features, aside the high definition graphics that weren’t available [for the Wii] is a new story mode that we will announce later this year.

It is unfortunate that we won’t be able to make an arcade version this time around, but if there is enough demand, we may be able to bring it to more platforms.

The game is planned to be released this Holidays on Japan with a retail price of 6980 yen (around $62). A localization for the game hasn’t been confirmed yet and Capcom’s official Twitter account said there were no plays at the moment. If you don’t mind the language barrier, you are still be able to import it as the Nintendo Switch is region free.

As someone who tried the original title I can’t wait to play it on the Nintendo Switch, but sadly this is just an April Fool’s joke.

When it comes to gaming, I don't choose a side nor the budget, but how much fun I will get from playing.
