Some brand new gameplay that shows off the first 15 minutes of The Wonderful 101: Remastered has been released. A few different YouTube channels and YouTubers have picked it up, and it’s easy to see why once you’ve watched it. If you played the original game, prepare to have your mind blown before you start watching.
As you can see, this gameplay covers the intro to The Wonderful 101. This section introduces the first two core characters, Wonder Red and Wonder Blue. It also sets up some of the side stories for the rest of the game before the end. And, of course, it has plenty of early combat to watch.
What is also very clear here is how The Wonderful 101: Remastered will overcome the lack of a touchpad on consoles. The original game did allow players to form fists, swords, and other shapes without using the touchpad on the Wii U. Still, PlatinumGames originally designed it with that control scheme in mind. But it looks like The Wonderful 101: Remastered has a way to replicate creating shapes with controllers. That should allow players to still get tactile feedback when they create the wrong shape.
While the video doesn’t show whether it will still be possible to draw shapes on the Nintendo Switch touchscreen, everything looks fantastic so far. That should bode well for the release of The Wonderful 101: Remastered later this year.
