Switch Version Of ‘Captain Toad’ Will Take Up Less Space Than Wii U Version

When it comes to file sizes in this day and age of video games, they can be massive.  But that is not the case for the Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.  Per a listing on the Switch eShop, the file size for Captain Toad will only take up 1.4 GB.   Making it smaller than the required 1.9 GB for the Wii U version.

The 0.5 difference might not seem major, but given the Switch only has 32 GB of storage makes it an impressive accomplishment.  What also makes this version different from the Wii U’s is the arrival of brand new content.  Including new miniature courses based on areas in Super Mario Odyssey.  Also, by splitting up the Joy-Con controller, two players can play together.

While one person controls the mushroom-topped explorer, the other person can assist them during the game.  But what about the 3DS version of the game?  According to Nintendo Everythingwe will likely find out the file size as its release date draws closer.  This means with E3’s arrival next week, we will likely receive more info during the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 presentation.

Both the Switch and 3DS versions of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be released on July 13.  What are you looking forward to the most about the game?  What do you hope Nintendo reveals at E3?  Comment below!
