This Switch Power Bank has a Massive Capacity, but a Small Size

It’s great that the Nintendo Switch doubles as a home and portable console, but its battery life is only average. More complex titles tend to drain the battery in about three hours. So, if you’re on a long trip (like driving, flying, etc.) this can be a bit of a downer. Thankfully, there are many power banks out there that allow you to play your Switch for hours after the initial charge is gone. But, this one from Japanese company Thanko is particularly interesting.

As you can see, this power bank is surprisingly small. Even so, it has a massive capacity of a whopping 10,000 mAh. The Switch’s own battery is only 4,310 mAh, so this is a pretty big upgrade. You can even charge the console and battery pack at the same time by means of a USB-C port that’s located on the left side of the power bank. And, it even features two cute little kickstands that look a little more sturdy than the original one that’s attached to the Switch. Thanko even included additional USB output ports which will allow you to charge other devices like phones and tablets from the same power bank. Handy!

So, where can you pick up this awesome power bank? I have good news and bad news for you….the good news is that it’s really cheap—only 3,580 yen ($31.85 US). The bad news is that the company only ships within Japan. If you have a way to get it exported out of the country to you, then go for it. Here’s hoping other retailers pick it up to sell to international customers.
