Super Mario RPG anime created by super talented Japanese fan

Super Mario RPG anime fan anime WatanoLemonT Mother EarthBound anime

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to showcase a random Japanese artist with awesome talent, so I’m pretty excited to share with you guys WatanoLemonT, whose specialty is creating video game fan anime. Chiefly, WatanoLemonT tends to make a wide variety of Mother / EarthBound anime, and considering the art is the work of one person, the quality is pretty stellar. However, the newest video provides a change of pace with some frenetic Super Mario RPG anime! It perfectly recreates the showdown of Geno versus Bowyer in the Forest Maze, arguably one of the most memorable areas in the game. And coolest of all — it uses the original game dialogue, including the English text!

Check out this incredible labor of love below! (Note that the music is by “Brock.”)

This Super Mario RPG anime presents the game precisely as we remember on Super Nintendo, except jazzed up with fun and slick new animation. This is the kind of stuff that WatanoLemonT is capable of churning out on a semi-regular basis, and it’s pretty amazing. If you’re hungry for more, check out a Mother 2 / EarthBound fan anime released just a month ago.
