Super Mario Maker Sells Over 3.5 Million Copies Worldwide

Super Mario Maker has been a surprising success for Nintendo, managing to spark both new fans of the Super Mario series along with old grizzled veterans who have been around since the mid-80’s. Nintendo shared some new stats on Super Mario Maker’s success on Twitter today in an image.

Super Mario Maker has managed to sell over 3.5 million copies worldwide, which is a huge tie-in ratio for the Wii U console. Over 7.2 million courses have been created, and the user-created content has been played over 600 million times.

Considering the creativity of those creating courses Super Mario Maker should continue to delight gamer’s for many more months!
