The Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational 2019 was announced back in a SMM2 Direct back on May 15. It will take place on June 8 in LA, and now we know the players, announcers, and format for the tournament. Four streamers and influencers have been invited to play, being Abdallah, theDragonFeeney, Jirard Khalil (The Completionist), and YellowKillerBee.

Furthermore, the announcers for the event will be Jordan Kent, Nine, and Vish.
Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational format
The event begins at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET that Saturday, and the format of the tournament will consist of three rounds:
Round One
The four players will each compete in timed speed runs.
Round Two
Players will split into teams of two and work together to complete the course. The winning team will move onto the Finals.
Finals
The remaining two players will face off in three objective-based mini-courses and one final course to determine the champion.
This game is looking better and better all the time, and I’m sure the invitational will be an effective way to get gamers even more hyped for it. Super Mario Maker 2 releases on June 28, and we are more than ready for that day to arrive. We just have to get through E3 first!
