Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa is currently giving his shareholder presentation to coincide with the release of their quarterly earnings report. The Super Mario Bros. movie was first announced in November 2017, though details have been hard to come by. Nonetheless, fan expectations are high, as Mario is the all-time most beloved character in the history of video games. His first outing in film, a live-action movie from 1993, is basically reviled. But a few hardcore fans have kept that film alive and have even begun sharing newly unearthed footage of that ill-fated film.
