Super Mario 3D All-Stars at GameStop gets themed Joy-Con covers

GameStop Super Mario 3D All-Stars themed Joy-Con covers purchase preorder

When Super Mario 3D All-Stars preorders began, there were no differences among the assorted listings at different retailers. However, that has now changed (including at Target). While supplies last, GameStop is offering themed Joy-Con covers when you purchase Super Mario 3D All-Stars, with a cover representing Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy each. And gosh, for once, these actually look really nice.

The actual GameStop website listing for Super Mario 3D All-Stars does not seem to reference the themed Joy-Con covers yet, but that shouldn’t be any cause for concern. If you want the game physically and haven’t already preordered, GameStop is now the front runner. If we’re lucky, perhaps supplies will last past the preorder window. Lord knows GameStop needs wins wherever humanly possible right now, considering its precarious financial position.

We’ve seen 3D All-Stars in action across assorted video clips already, including a comparison of Super Mario 64 on Nintendo 64 versus Nintendo Switch and opening footage of Super Mario Sunshine. It’s nothing earth-shattering, but it’s enough to get us hungry to play a bunch of old Mario games again. Themed Super Mario 3D All-Stars Joy-Con covers will do nicely to enhance that nostalgic mood.
