SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator is cheaper than getting an art degree

SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator gameplay trailer Nintendo Switch Q1 2021 HypeTrain Digital Voolgi

Developer Voolgi and publisher HypeTrain Digital are bringing SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator to Nintendo Switch and PC in Q1 2021, and it has a gameplay trailer to show off what you can expect. This is not just another “Not Mario Paint” game for Switch (though those options exist and look great), as it takes place in the year 2130 and you are a genius artist living in a “space studio.” SuchArt is a “first-person story-driven artist sim with realistic physics (and) color blending,” and in fulfilling clients’ orders, you can sell the works you create for fame and profit. Then you can spend your moolah to expand your studio and fill it with furniture and decorations.

To capture and keep attention, Voolgi and HypeTrain Digital have released a free sandbox SuchArt: Creative Space prologue of sorts on Steam, which lacks some of the full game’s features but still lets you experiment with various artistic options. It’s unclear what the story of the full game will entail, but there is mention of a robot revolt and creatures called the Crabuxes that “covet the planet’s saltwater.” So, uh, that’s something to watch out for.

Stay tuned for SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator on Nintendo Switch within the next couple months.
