Streets of Rage 4 is slated to release sometime in the first half of 2020 from Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Lizardcube. Limited Run Games has now announced that it will be doing a Streets of Rage 4 physical release to commemorate the release. They’ve given no more news yet, so I’m sorry to say that the headline told the whole story here and now you’re reading the rest of this article for maybe no reason. But if you could use a refresher on what we know about this game, then stick around!

This attractive beat ’em up was first announced in August 2018, and since then, Dotemu has revealed new details about the game piecemeal, especially including its roster of playable characters. So far, Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding, Adam Hunter, and Cherry Hunter are confirmed characters. The first three all stem from the original games on Sega Genesis, whereas Cherry Hunter is a new character and Adam’s daughter. It seems at least one more playable character remains to be revealed, as suggested by the silhouette for a hulking character seen in the above promotional image.
Streets of Rage 4 will release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You are now all caught up on this title. Do you anticipate you’ll be grabbing the Limited Run Games physical release?
