Streets of Rage 4 has been receiving piecemeal teases as far back as its announcement in August 2018. Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games have been working on this game for quite a while now, and the game still only has a vague spring 2020 release date. Nonetheless, the day of its glorious arrival is getting closer. And as we previously reported, Limited Run Games is releasing a physical edition of the game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, which we now know is called Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition. Preorders for this collector’s edition will begin at 10 a.m. ET on March 20, and it should be of particular interest to Sega Genesis lovers.
The Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition includes the game in the standard case, a SteelBook case, and a large Genesis clamshell that will fit both cases inside! It’s available in an open pre-order starting at 10am ET on March 20 on https://t.co/5Lksol4sqo. pic.twitter.com/4cpYXti3tu

Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition nets you the cool packaging you would expect of a physical release from Limited Run Games. You get the game with a reversible cover, an additional SteelBook case, and a custom Sega Genesis-styled clam shell case that fits both the SteelBook case and the standard game case. Pricing has yet to be announced.
Do you think you’ll preorder Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition, if the price is right? If you’re still on the fence, check out our full PAX East 2020 preview of the title. Suffice to say, it sounds like it’s shaping up pretty nicely so far.
