The hotly anticipated 1.0.5 patch for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is finally set to launch in the West on June 26 (today!) after a series of delays in localization and certification. The patch promises several key fixes that should appease fans of the series, including an overhaul to the bothersome Maker machines and, hopefully, some extensive reworking to the dialogue. Bit by bit, the game’s rocky launch is being corrected. Below, you can learn a little bit more about the patch in its trailer (yes, this patch is a big enough deal to have its own trailer).
On XSEED’s blog detailing the patch, the developer has also laid out the changes we can expect in the next patch for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. Patch 1.0.6 will feature another long list of fixes (this game evidently did not release in the best state), including improved visuals in many animations, the ability to change the names of your animals and children, some new messages for players, and several other QOL changes.
If you grabbed Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town on release, this might be a good time to jump back in, but the laundry list of fixes planned for version 1.0.6 tells me that it still might be worth your time to wait.
