Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town producer Dai Takemura issued an apology about the game’s myriad of issues since its launch last month in Japan. Additionally, he promised that several fixes are underway for many of its problems, including the long loading times.
Takemura thanked everybody who purchased Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town since its launch in Japan. He also said that all of the complaints from fans about the bugs, loading times, and other issues are heard loud and clear from the team. He took the opportunity to apologize again on behalf of the team for not living up to expectations.
The producer also went on to mention that this year is the 25th anniversary of Bokujo Monogatari (Story of Seasons). Since it wouldn’t be a good look to start the milestone year like that, the team is working hard to fix the game. An update will be available sometime in mid-March in Japan, addressing the following issues:
- Shorten some of the loading time
- A bug that makes the player freeze when connecting online
- A bug that makes the player freeze after waking up the pet and leaving the house
- A bug that makes the player freeze after taking out a fishing rod in the mines
- Various fixes for other issues and bugs
Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is available for Nintendo Switch in Japan. It launches in North America on March 23, 2021 and in Europe on March 26, 2021. An expansion pass will also add sub-scenarios, marriage candidates, costumes, and more starting in April.
