Square Enix Hinting At ‘Final Fantasy XV’ On Nintendo Switch?

While at this year’s Gamescom, Final Fantasy XV Producer Hajime Tabata was talking about different versions of the game – for example, me mentioned the Windows version, and also the pocket version.

In the midst of the discussion, Tabata slipped in a hint of information that has lead some Nintendo Switch owners to believe the game is on its way to the hybrid system.

We can’t give you any complete, solid details right at the moment, but we very much do want to move out and do as much as we can with the game and the franchise. There’s another certain console out there people may be thinking of. It sounds a little bit like… Twitch. I mean, everyone on the Final Fantasy XV [team] love this specific console that sounds a lot like Twitch, so, uh, may want to think about something like that in the future”

While this is, in no way, a confirmation of the latest Final Fantasy game coming to Switch, it’s apparent that Square Enix loves the system and would like to work with it in the future.

Do you think the game could run on Nintendo’s system? The game requires some beefy specs, so only time will tell if Square Enix can get it up and running on the Switch.
