The Neo Geo Pocket Color game SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium is coming to Nintendo Switch via Nintendo eShop on Feb. 17, 2021. The handheld fighter was originally released in Japan in November 1999 as a “dream collaboration” title between SNK and Capcom. It is the second game in the SNK vs Capcom series, and this will mark the game’s first port since its initial release.
The dream SNK and CAPCOM collaboration title that can fit in your hands is coming to the Nintendo Switch!

The card game SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash was the first collaborative title between the two companies, but Match of the Millennium was the first actual fighting game that featured characters from SNK and Capcom IPs.
SNK representatives include Kyo Kusanagi from The King of Fighters, Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, and Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown. Capcom characters include Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter. It also features two Darkstalkers reps in Morrigan and Felicia. Keep in mind that the game was out when we didn’t have DLC, so its roster of 26 characters was pretty impressive for a handheld fighting game at the time.
The Nintendo Switch port of SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium is part of the Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection. Other games available from the collection include Fatal Fury: First Contact, The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny, King of Fighters R-2, Samurai Shodown! 2, and SNK Gals’ Fighters.
