Smash Ultimate’s next DLC Fighter to be revealed at The Game Awards

Smash Ultimate DLC fighter the game awards

Right, it’s that time again folks. Guessing games at the ready, as a new Smash Ultimate DLC fighter is set to be revealed at The Game Awards. No hints as to who it’ll be were dropped in Nintendo’s tweet about it, but we don’t have to wait long to find out. The Game Awards are set for tonight, and we’ll be covering them live here at Nintendo Enthusiast.

The speculation in the hours up to the event will likely run rampant, as fans scramble to find any scraps of evidence as to who it might be. One outside chance could be Kratos from God of War. There’s already a set of PlayStation-centric fighters present in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and the god of war himself recently arrived in Fortnite.

While the reveal of a new Smash Ultimate DLC fighter is exciting news no doubt, we hope it isn’t the biggest drop of Nintendo news at The Game Awards. We’re currently in the dark on a ton of upcoming Switch games, and an update on the likes of Bayonetta 3 or Metroid Prime 4 wouldn’t go amiss. Or maybe even a brand new game announcement.

As for the awards themselves, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has the most realistic chance at bringing an award home for Nintendo. The latest Animal Crossing is up for the proper GOTY award, while also present in the Best Multiplayer Game and Best Family game categories.

What DLC fighter do you want to see revealed tonight for Smash Ultimate?
