Nintendo has confirmed that another online tournament will be making its way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Friday, March 12, and the “Fighters of Many Faces” event will focus on fighters who change “significantly” between their assorted color variations. This includes characters such as Inkling, Joker, Byleth and the recently released Pyra and Mythra. It will be interesting to see which characters make the cut for this online tournament in Smash Ultimate.

This is also a perfect opportunity to experiment with Pyra and Mythra. I think they are two of the most fun characters to play as on the roster. It will be unsurprising to see many players using the newly released fighters, as they have taken over online matches (just like with any new fighter). Interestingly, the release of Pyra and Mythra has influenced the sales of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This is demonstrated through a price surge in the United States and Japan, with Amazon Japan selling out of copies quickly.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just wrapped up the Pokémon anniversary online tournament, which was a ton of fun. If you have yet to participate in an online tournament, I highly recommend it. They are a change of pace from traditional online matchmaking and provide a hectic Smash Bros. experience. Will you be giving this Fights of Many Faces online tournament a go in Smash Ultimate?
