Smash-Inspired \”Touhou Super Smash Battles\” Coming to Wii U

The indie developer From Soy Sauce announced in an interview the development of Touhou Super Smash Battles for the Nintendo Wii U eShop, a fighting game based in the popular universe of Touhou. The controls will be inspired on the Super Smash Bros. series including elements added on the Project M mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The developer also confirmed they will aim to add several modes including Vs., minigames like break the targets, and a story, support for online battles (with a possible 8-players). It will make use of the GameCube adapter, have DLC support (for stages, characters and alternative costumes) and it will include between 15 to 26 characters and from 15 to 23 stages.

Despite there still being a discussion with ZUN (the creator of the series) about the permissions for the Wii U release, the developer commented it will be very likely to receive a positive ending. About the release date, they are aiming between October 2015 and February 2016 so there’s still a long wait.

Last but not less important, a second title was announced for the Nintendo Wii U eShop, being a reboot from a title they released last year called Glass Wing, which was confirmed to use the original capabilities of the Nintendo’s home console.

Meanwhile more details are lacking about this game, you can see below a cutscene from the original release

When it comes to gaming, I don't choose a side nor the budget, but how much fun I will get from playing.
