Skyward Sword HD will feature full camera control, Nintendo confirms

Skyward Sword HD camera control

Over the past few weeks, Nintendo has been releasing plenty of key information about The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD that maybe should have been shared a while back. With the game is scheduled to release on Friday, Nintendo has now revealed that Skyward Sword HD will feature full camera control. How you’re playing the game will influence how the camera will be controlled. Playing with motion controls using Joy-Con will require you to simply move the right stick, but button controls will instead require the player to first hold down the L button, and then move the right stick.

Yesterday, Nintendo also revealed that Skyward Sword HD‘s opening moments have been slightly altered. This has been done “for a smoother gameplay experience” and will get the adventure started a lot quicker. It’s evident by all of these announcements that Skyward Sword HD is no mere port, as we have seen a multitude of improvements in various trailers and more.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD launches on July 16, 2021, alongside the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo and limited-edition Joy-Con controllers. There isn’t long left until launch, so get ready to revisit Skyloft! What are your thoughts on full camera control in Skyward Sword HD?
