New Skullgirls 2nd Encore Trailer for Nintendo Switch

Skullgirls 2nd Encore was recently confirmed for Nintendo Switch. Now the official Skullgirls YouTube channel uploaded a new trailer for the game’s Switch release. The game is also confirmed to receive a physical retail release. Unfortunately, there is no release date for the title. Currently, all we know is that the game is “coming soon”. You can check out the Skullgirls 2nd Encore trailer below.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore info via Skullgirls Wiki:

“Skullgirls 2nd Encore is an enhanced version of Skullgirls Encore which was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on July 7, 2015. It is also planned to be released as a DLC upgrade to the original Skullgirls on Steam, but full confirmation of this is still needed. The game was not released on the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U or the Xbox One due to a Nintendo platform port lacking a publisher and because of Microsoft’s parity policy. However, at the Anime Expo 2018, it was revealed that the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch, though a release date is still forthcoming.”

Skullgirls 2nd Encore features:

  • Fully-voiced Story Mode
All 14 Story Modes are fully voice-acted, with all the previous cast returning to voice their respective characters along with some new faces. Marie 300% will also be voiced. Click here for the full cast list.
  • Challenges
Players can choose to compete in challenges where they fight against opponents with a variety of unique battle conditions. Such challenges include having to beat Big Band without jumping and defeating a team of 3 Doubles.
  • Trials
In this mode, the players are tasked with performing and perfecting combos. Trials use a new button-by-button instructional system to make learning combos easier, with the mode including lessons to teach combos frequently used in real play – ranging from basic to advanced level inputs.
  • Survival Mode
This mode has players battle an endless barrage of foes until they are defeated. A good performance results in more health being recovered between rounds; with players who have survived for longer facing tougher opponents as they continue to win battles.
