Saint Kotar, dark point-and-click adventure, is funded & coming to Nintendo Switch Red Martyr Entertainment

Red Martyr Entertainment’s Saint Kotar is officially coming to Nintendo Switch. The point-and-click choice-driven adventure game has been successfully funded on Kickstarter. One of the campaign’s stretch goals was a full release on all consoles, and that was thankfully met. In total the campaign generated €50,178 of the required €39,000, which means that almost every stretch goal was met.

In Saint Kotar players take on the roles of Benedek Dohnany and Nikolay Kalyakin. Both characters are trying to uncover the truth behind a series of gruesome murders. Crimes are allegedly related to witchcraft and devil worship, but only delving deep into the facts will uncover the truth. Each character’s storyline can branch off in various directions, making for some very strange tales. Actions will affect the outcome of certain events and even the fate of characters you meet.

The game’s hand-painted style brings the town of Sveti Kotar and its 70+ locations to life in an especially creepy way, and the game estimatedly will offer 20 hours of gameplay. The game is fully voiced as well.

For further details on what to expect from Saint Kotar, check out a review of the game’s free prologue at sister site The Escapist, which was impressed by the game’s characterization of its unique and flawed protagonists.

Saint Kotar is set to launch in 2021. From the way it looks so far, it’ll be worth the wait.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
