Ryan Reynolds Grabs Role In ‘Detective Pikachu’ Film

Ryan Reynolds, who’s most known for playing Deadpool, has signed on to the Detective Pikachu film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Reynolds joins a cast made up of Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton; Rob Letterman, who helmed Goosebumps, will be directing the picture. Alex Hirsch and Nicole Perlman are writing the screenplay.

According to the outlet, the plot begins when Smith’s character’s father is taken, forcing a team-up with Pikachu to save him.
