Rumour: Anonymous Retailer Confirms Call of Duty: Ghosts Wii U

The ongoing saga of whether Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch on the Wii U continues with signs looking positive….

Call of Duty: Ghosts has so far only been confirmed for PS3, 360, the next generation Xbox and \”other next generation consoles\”. So far only one retailer has added the Wii U version to their website for pre-orders, which appears to be suspicious.

Now an anonymous retailer has come forward and confirmed to the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine that the game is indeed coming to the Wii U and will launch alongside the other versions this November.

The fact that Activision has yet to confirm \”the other next generation\” versions is to be expected as it has been confirmed Call of Duty: Ghosts will be fully unveiled at the unveiling of the next generation Xbox which is scheduled for May 21st. Microsoft have likely requested that the version for the yet unnamed Xbox be the lead next generation version, and Acitivison will likely quietly announce the Wii U and PS4 versions shortly after.

This is rather similar to Microsoft only allowing third parties to release a multi-platform game on their platform the same date as the other platforms, hence the delay we are all currently still reeling from with Rayman: Legends.
