According to the latest numbers released by VGChartz, the Wii U has reached 10 million units sold worldwide. There was a recent surge in Wii U sales recently that was particularly responsible for the helping the Wii U hit the 10 million mark. This surge was brought on after the release of Splatoon.

As of March 31st, Nintendo officially sold 9.54 million consoles. It could be reasonable to assume that the company has sold an addition 460,000 units in a 3-month time frame.
