Wii Fit generated a lot of hype when it came out a few years ago on the Wii and got a lot of people up off the couch and moving again. Of course, as time went by, the balance board became a dusty old gimmick and many went back to the Wiimote and Nunchuk or just sat on the couch. A new instalment in the series known as Wii Fit U was introduced at last year’s E3 presentation and got some people excited again.
Now, it would appear that the good old \”Wii Fit\” name may be in danger and its personal trainer may have left it to sit and be a bench warmer. Emily Rogers, via a Tweet on her Twitter account, had this to say,
99% chance this means nothing. But Wii Fit U trademark abandoned on April 29, 2013. NOA has till May 26th to respond: trademarkia.com/wii-fit-u-8564…
