Resident Evil franchise gets permanent price drop on the Nintendo Switch eShop Capcom

It has been possible to pick up the majority of the Resident Evil franchise on Nintendo Switch for quite some time now, but many of us haven’t because the games were priced too high considering their age. Now however, it looks like Capcom has seen sense, because there’s been a permanent Resident Evil franchise price drop on the Switch eShop.

Aside from special sales, each game in the main franchise from Resident Evil 0 to Resident Evil 6 was priced at $29.99 digitally until now. Many Switch owners have a problem paying that sort of money for these games when we can buy them elsewhere for £10/$15 without any sort of discount. Thankfully this now isn’t the case.

The Resident Evil franchise price drop puts every game at £15.99/$19.99. This still isn’t as cheap as some people would like, but it’s a lot better than the previous price point. I love the franchise, but even when there have been big sales on the eShop in the U.K. I’ve had to avoid buying these games because they were only discounted to the price that they are now. Hopefully this gives fans of the games the opportunity to finally get them on Nintendo Switch. If not, they’ll surely be dropped to the perfect price with the next eShop sale.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
