The family of Resident Evil games available on the Nintendo Switch keeps growing bigger and bigger. You can already grab a few of the biggest games in the franchise on the eShop today. At the end of this month, though, Resident Evil 5 and 6 will be joining the lineup of games from the iconic Capcom horror franchise available on Nintendo’s latest console. While the titles don’t drop for another few weeks, antsy fans can start playing right away thanks to free demos. The demos just launched today for these games on the Nintendo eShop.
Currently only live on the Australian eShop, the demos for the upcoming Resident Evil ports will arrive on other regional eShops shortly. On top of that, there are also discounts available for owners of other games in the series. If you’ve already purchased 0, 4, or the original game’s remake on the eShop, you’re eligible for a 33 percent discount on the new Resident Evil games dropping this month.
Resident Evil 5 is the complete package, coming with all DLC that was ever released for the game. That includes the No Mercy mode. There’s even a brand new mode called “The Mercenaries United” that merges the two timed arena-combat modes of the game, The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion, into one all-inclusive game mode.
Resident Evil 6, meanwhile, also includes all of the DLC released for the game. You can even get your hands on a bundle of extra costumes for each character. These outfits were originally exclusive to Residentevil.net members.
Resident Evil 5 and 6 will release on the Nintendo Switch eShop on Oct. 29 of this year.
