Remothered: Broken Porcelain character trailer shows brutal enemies

Remothered: Broken Porcelain recently pushed its release date to a more appropriate time of the year. The third-person survival horror title now launches in October, right before Halloween hits. This isn’t Remothered: Broken Porcelain‘s spookiest aspect though. A new trailer released by publisher Modus Games shows off the game’s cast of characters, and the majority don’t look friendly at all.

The clip finds protagonist Jennifer getting acquainted with the people of the Ashmann Inn. The setting is a secluded mountainside hotel shrouded in mystery. From the place’s awkwardly rude management to a rumored haunting by a robed figure known as Porcelain, Jennifer looks like she’ll face plenty of challenges, fights, and frights on her journey at the Ashmann Inn.

The game appears to take heavy inspiration from the Resident Evil series. Whilst the game is third-person, some of the enemies remind me of Resident Evil 7. I mean, weird bug lady could’ve come right out of the Baker family, no? She certainly looks like a tough enemy, and to be honest, I’d have trouble looking at her, never mind defeating her.

The robed “Porcelain” doesn’t look much nicer either. This witch-like figure appears right at the end of the new Remothered: Broken Porcelain trailer, setting fire to just about everything in sight. Hopefully, the bits in-between provide ample frights and this one turns out to be a solid survival horror title.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain haunts Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 20.
