Pyra & Mythra from Xenoblade join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in March

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pyra Mythra Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass 2 Monolith Soft

At long last, the full new Nintendo Direct has arrived, and it has revealed that Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the fourth character in Fighters Pass 2, following Min Min from ARMS, Steve from Minecraft, and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. Mythra’s sword is powered up by fire with attacks like Smash Flare, Flame Nova, Prominence Revolt, and Blazing End. Mythra meanwhile has Lightning Buster, Photon Edge, Ray of Punishment, Chroma Dust, and Foresight. You can swap between Pyra and Mythra in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate the same way that Zelda and Sheik can be toggled during battle. The two characters will arrive in March.

New characters typically come with livestream presentations led by Smash series creator Masahiro Sakurai, and while no such event has been announced yet, it very likely will be as March approaches. Following the arrival of these two characters collectively as Fighters Pass 2 DLC fighter 4, that means two characters remain. Many people are still hoping for the likes of Crash Bandicoot or (pretty unlikely) Master Chief, and there have been rumors surrounding Ryu Hayabusa for at least a couple years now.

Tell us what you think of Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!
